The book follows the natural order of events — preparations, ceremony, congratulations, meal, evening. The reader moves through the day as you moved through it.

Portraits with room to breathe
The strongest portraits are given a full page and plenty of space around them. One photograph with room to breathe can say more than twelve crammed together.

Details that would otherwise be forgotten
The rings, the bouquet, the invitations, the handwritten place cards, the shoes by the door. Small things that bring the atmosphere back most vividly years later.

Text only where it is needed
A date, the names, perhaps one line from the vows. Nothing more — the photographs say the rest themselves.

Why a larger format
A wedding is a formal occasion with a great many people in it. Capturing the atmosphere and the emotion takes room — on a small page a crowd turns into an unreadable blur of faces. That is why we recommend a panoramic or at least a medium format. A book about such a day should feel like a special occasion in your hands too.
Photographs from a professional photographer
If a professional photographed your wedding, their photographs are already colour-corrected and technically finished, and we leave them alone. Our work begins elsewhere: in the composition of the spreads, in the collage and the photomontage that merges separate frames into one image. That is a layer the photographer does not provide and that a standard photo-book editor does not allow you to create.
Hints of what is coming
The chronology of a day is not merely a list. In the earlier spreads, we weave in subtle hints of what is to come — a detail of the rings before the ceremony, the laid table before the meal. The book then pulls forward instead of simply counting off the hours.
