Bab City Studio designs photo books from your photographs. Our job is not simply to arrange pictures on pages, but to build a visual story with emotion, rhythm and a design that does not date.

Both. You can take just the finished design files, or add printing with a manufacturer of your choice at their price and receive a physical book.

3. We hold an initial consultation, in writing or by phone.
4. If printing is included, you choose the manufacturer and settle every specification the print order needs — paper, page count, binding and so on.
5. We send you a considered quote for the agreed scope.
6. You pay a deposit of 50 % of the design fee.
7. We select the strongest photographs.
8. We design the complete book.
9. We send you a preview for approval.
10. Once we have incorporated your comments, we prepare the final files for the print order.
11. You settle the balance and we send you the print files or the printed book.

Through any large-file transfer service — WeTransfer, Google Drive or Dropbox. Pick the one you already know; you do not need to install anything or create an account, just e-mail us the link.

Send them exactly as you took them — do not resize them. From an original we can crop a detail and run it across a full page; from a downsized copy we cannot. The full instructions are in How to send us your photographs.

Not really. We are glad to choose for you. We look at technical quality, emotion, composition and what a photograph means within the story of the book. We prefer them in two folders — everything, and the ones you want in the book no matter what.

Send everything from the event or the trip. The wider the选 selection we have, the stronger the visual story we can build.

We work with photographs from phones and from cameras alike. The best results come from original files at full resolution.

All the better. Their frames are already colour-corrected and technically finished, and we leave them alone — there is no sense in redoing work that is done.

Our work begins elsewhere: in the composition of the spreads, in the collage and the photomontage that merges separate frames into one image. It is a layer the photographer does not supply, because it is not part of their craft — and one a photo lab editor will not let you build.

Yes. Basic editing of the selected photographs is included — exposure, contrast and colour correction, retouching and cropping to suit the page design.

Yes. Before the final handover you receive a preview of the whole book and can request changes according to the package you chose.

Because every manufacturer has different page sizes, different binding and different rules for the spine. The design is made to fit the chosen manufacturer exactly — changing it later means rebuilding the whole book.

This matters most for panoramas across the spine. They only work when the binding opens the book flat; with ordinary case binding the middle of the image would be swallowed. If you would rather not decide alone, we will go through it together in the consultation.

In most cases, 7 to 14 working days from the moment all the photographs arrive. Larger projects may need an individual schedule. Printing and delivery times depend on the manufacturer you choose.

Allow one to two weeks after the deposit has cleared, depending on the size of the book. You need not wait for the whole thing — we can send individual spreads as they are finished, so you can respond sooner and not face everything at once.

Previews are sent at reduced resolution and watermarked. The print files follow once payment is complete.

It depends on the size of the project, the page count and the services you want. The full price list is available under Pricing.

Yes. We use your photographs solely to produce the design you ordered. We do not pass them to third parties, and after the job is finished we either keep or delete them as agreed. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Once the order is paid you have the right to have the design printed for your own use. Copyright in the design itself stays with Bab City Studio unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Automatic editors place photographs by algorithm. We build a visual story — choosing the right frames, making photomontages, building the rhythm of the book, working with emotion, typography and detail. The result is not an album of photographs but a book you will want to come back to.

Our design

It is the most common worry and we have an answer ready for it: the Starter package.

For 79 € you get five spreads designed from your own photographs. You pay half before we start, the rest only once you have seen the sample. If it does not convince you, we go no further, nothing more is due and the deposit is all you have paid — it covers the work already done.

So you do not have to take our word for it. You limit your risk to under forty euros and decide on the strength of what you see done with your own photographs.

On a full commission one round of revisions is included. What changes most often is the composition of a spread — the order of the frames, their sizes and which one gets the main area.
